- life
- light
- grace
- truth
Jesus is the ultimate expression of God’s lovingkindness, given to man so that we might be the light of the world. The most exciting thing about Jesus being light is that He makes this light available to us:
The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. (v. 9)

Bringing Jesus to the World - Part I

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again…We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15, 20)
Summing up the verse above, John Burke said, “You can’t love others when you’re preoccupied with yourself.” Our mission is to love others, but how can we effectively do this? As ambassadors, we represent Christ to the world, so we are called to bring Christ to every situation and to be Christ to all people. Let’s look at the example of Philip:
